JOB OPENING: DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT
Due to an internal promotion, the Edgartown Library is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our team as a full-time, year-round Department Assistant. This role is central to keeping our library running smoothly behind the scenes, with a focus on financial record-keeping, administrative support, and collaborative work with our dedicated staff.
What we're looking for:
• Strong attention to detail in records management and budget practices
• An organized and systematic approach to administrative workflows
• Solid computer skills, including experience with PC-based databases and software; familiarity with Munis or similar municipal finance software is a plus
This full-time position (38 hours/week) requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a finance-related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. The wage range is $30.27–$39.83/hour in 8 steps, with a full benefits package.
