Summer Reading Program Graphic

Summer Reading Program

Visit the library to sign up for the Summer Reading Program and receive a Color Your World Summer Reading log. Keep track of the books you read (or have read to you) and bring your completed log back to the library to receive a stamp. Collect stamps to earn prizes!

The Summer Reading Program has been generously funded by the Friends of the Edgartown Free Public Library as well as our sponsors at Edgartown Meat & Fish, Candy Bazaar, Edgartown Pizza, and Great Harbor Market.

Make a patriotic tie-dye piece to celebrate the 4th! We supply the tie-dye and expertise. Please bring a clothing item to dye. All ages welcome.

This program will take place outdoors, weather permitting.

Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Collette Jordan will guide the group through creating a masterpiece to take home. We will provide the canvases and paint so kids can explore their creative side. For ages 8 and up.

Drop your stuffie off at the library for a sleepover, and then pick them up the next day and hear all about their overnight adventures! All ages welcome.

Use colorful equipment for a fitness class incorporating simple cardio, agility, and mind-over-matter drills. All ages welcome.

Sort through our collection of recyclables and repurpose them into useful items using our craft supplies. All ages welcome.

Color a coloring page of your choice or create your own picture, and we will mail it anywhere in the United States! All ages welcome.

Join Elyce in the Program Room for a movement-based storytime using fun props and interactive stories. This program is geared toward ages 1-5, but all are welcome. No registration required.

Visit the library every Friday and pick up a stuffed animal to read to and keep. While supplies last. All ages welcome.

Tabletop Roleplay Group: Re-color Our World

Saturdays
3pm - 4pm

Oh no! Grayscale the Squirrel has stolen all the color from the world! Just like a squirrel, he’s hidden the colors everywhere, but now he can’t remember where he put them! Grab your whiskers, wings, or wagging tails and team up as brave animal friends on a quest to find the missing colors and bring the rainbow back to the world. Through play, participants will get a chance to organically build characters and explore the world in which they will be adventuring. Got questions? Kids Services

Board Game & Activity Stations - Come check out the board game and activity stations in the Children's Room. We've got classic games like chess and Candy Land, as well as fun tabletop games like Llamanoes. Activities include puzzles, coloring pages, and more.

After School Crafting - The Children's Room is open every day after school for open crafting time! There will be all sorts of crafting supplies available for kids to make any artful creations that come to mind.
