Summer Reading Program Graphic

Summer Reading Program

Visit the library to sign up and pick up a reading log. Keep track of the books you read (or have read to you) and bring your log back to the library to receive a stamp. Collect stamps to earn prizes!

The Edgartown Public Library and Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation have partnered to bring you a new story walk every 2-3 weeks.

Pick up an art bag with a set of coloring pages designed by Island artist Tara Reynolds at the Children’s Room pickup window. Complete your masterpiece at home, and drop it off at the library during open hours to have it displayed in the front windows of the Children's Room.

Visit the library every Tuesday throughout the summer to pick up a mystery bag with your own stuffed animal to read to and keep. The bag will also include a fact sheet about your animal stuffie, as well as a list of book suggestions.

Join Kerith in the Children's Room outdoor garden area for a different craft every week, while supplies last. Please note some crafting materials (paint, crayons, scissors, glue) will be shared by the group.

Families are invited to the library's front lawn (weather permitting) to see the Island’s popular kid rock band, the Pinkletinks. They'll perform classic children’s songs in a rock-band format, at a volume appropriate for children’s ears.
